A Background Takeover AD is a chrome, skin, theme, or simple image applied to the available area surrounding a video.

Changing Background

Changing the background of a webpage or website is rather trivial thanks to simple JavaScript DOM access classes.

To change the color, use something similar to:

document.body.style.background = 'red';

[1]

Changing an image can be accomplished by using the backgroundImage JS property:

document.body.style.backgroundImage="url('http://www.bryancopeland.com/images/bg.jpg')";

[2]

Removing Background

Methods of "removing a background" could include removing the background of a specific image (i.e. in an Image Editor like Photoshop or GIMP), or using CSS/JavaScript

document.body.style.background = 'transparent';
