DVR

A Digital Video Recorder (commonly abbreviated DVR; also referred to as Personal Video Recorder, or, abbreviated PVR) is typically a piece of hardware (but may also be used as a catch-all to refer to all hardware and/or software configurations) used to process and manage an individual's video, but lately has been used to refer to devices and applications that manage all forms of media.
