Data Mining is the process of searching, sorting, filtering, or otherwise analyzing (typically large) data sets in order to discover new relationships or proof theories of existent relationships which may be of interest or benefit to an individual or organization.
Text Mining
Text Mining is a subset of Data Mining which does analysis on the text of a particular set of data. Analysis may include, but is not limited to:
- Syntax (correctness/validation)
- Statistical Analysis
- Semantic (Meaning) Analysis
- Relationship Mapping
