A Date consists is a measurement of a particular point in time.

Formats

Typical date formats include:

  • yyyy-MM-dd
  • yyyy-MM-dd-hh.mm.ss
  • dd-MM-yy
  • dd-MM-yy hh:mm:ss
  • dd of MMM, yyyy
  • EEE, d MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss Z
  • and many others...[4]

M=Month
y=year
h=hour
m=minute
s=second
E=English name/abbreviation (typically of day)
Z=timeZone

Date & Time represented as a single data point. Formats vary, but examples include:
