Hexadecimal is a base-16 representation of numbers (i.e. it uses the first 9 digits, then, substitutes in the first 6 letters of the alphabet for the remaining number up until 16).

EXAMPLE Hexadecimal (base 16) number FF33CC can be converted to decimal as follows:
