Microsoft
Microsoft is one of the world's leading software companies. It was founded by Bill Gates, with the help of businessman Steve Ballmer in 1975. It has maintained its market dominance via aggressive mergers & acquisitions[1] of competitors, aggressive marketing & advertising tactics[2][3][4], a large asset & cash base, public & private investment, and a crack legal team of the world's finest attorneys[5][6] (both prosecutors and defense attorneys).

Remote Desktop Protocol
Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a proprietary technology from Microsoft which provides a GUI to connect to another computer visually (desktop to desktop) over a network connection. The user employs RDP client software for this purpose, while the other computer being connected to must run RDP server software.
Clients exist for most versions of Microsoft Windows (including Windows Mobile), Linux, Unix, macOS, iOS, Android, and other operating systems. RDP servers are built into Windows operating systems; an RDP server for Unix and OS X also exists. By default, the server listens on TCP & UDP via port 3389.
Microsoft currently refers to their official RDP client software as Remote Desktop Connection (formerly "Terminal Services Client"). The protocol is an extension of the "ITU-T T.128 application sharing protocol". Microsoft makes some specifications public on their website.

Zune
The Zune was billed as Microsoft's personal media player device competitor to Apple's iPod and while it enjoyed a decent adoption and user-base at first[83][84], it was plagued with some minor technical issues[85][86][87][88] and user complaints and could never quite capture a significant enough market share. Microsoft ended investment into the Zune product line and halted all production in 2011[89][90][91]. The Zune store was shutdown in November, 2015[92][93][94].

Windows Store
Windows Store is an app store for Microsoft Windows-based applications (from full-scale complex GUI applications to tiny utilities/widgets). Starting with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 these applications can be added as an alternative to traditional independent "non-reviewed" application download and/or purchase direct from third parties, and installation (typically via .exe or .msi and an "install wizard"). It has become the official and primary means of distributing Universal Windows Platform apps. Both free and paid apps can be distributed through Windows Store, with paid apps ranging in cost from US$0.99 to $999.99 and free apps potentially including advertising or additional third-party partner promotions within the app.
