Motorola was once a leading electronics manufacturer, producing and in some markets distributing devices ranging from Mobile Phones to PDAs, and "Digital set-top boxes" to TVs. It was acquired and largely gutted for talent and IP by Google in 2010. It was at its time (and as of the time of this writing still) the largest Google/Alphabet acquisition ever at a $15 billion USD valuation.[1][2]

The Motorola Razr was the best-selling flip phone of all time, selling ~130 million units in its 4-5 year production history.[3]
