Mapping Network Drives

Trouble doing an authenticated mapping of network drives in Windows 7? First deactivate any Firewalls or Anti-Virus software, then:

1. windows icon
2. in search box, type: secpol.msc
3. Go to Local Policies | Security Options and choose the "Network Security: LAN Manager Authentican Level" item
4. Set it to "Send LM & NLTM, use NTMLv2 session if negotiated"

Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced (tab) -> Environment Variables
