I guess, despite some non-geek endeavours such as my brief (2005-2006) foray into the world wikipedia: Mixed Martial Arts and training for caged combat which was swiftly derailed by a knee injury, along with giving the world a brief glimpse of my youthful naiivety and "wild entrepreurial side" in 2008 (by throwing away perfectly good job opportunities to develop my own business idea into oblivion), it turns out I'm still just a geek at heart.

My dream is to one day finally realize this crazy vision of mine for a fair, trustworthy and useful Recommendation System for all things on the web (and even in the real world). The technology to do this has almost reached a point where it's ready for everyday use... and that excites me (more than it should perhaps, considering it is after all, just more geeky technology...)!

Speaking at the year-ending event for MobileMonday Toronto before the chapter closes for the summer:

Sixth Annual Conference on Communication Networks and Services Research (CNSR2008) May 5th-8th, 2008

The 6th Annual CNSR conference is fast approaching. It is the foremost conference on Communications and Networking Technologies in Atlantic Canada, and will feature some of the most prominent academics in Communications and Telecommunications Networking Research from around the world. It will be an excellent opportunity and venue for discussing the BC$ vision with a very savvy audience.

We welcome and appreciate this opportunity, while also taking responsibility for explaining the concept and ensuring the idea appeals to the narrower audience on a personal level. Our experience at MoMo Tokyo will help us move forward with confidence and modest determination.
