Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility (commonly abbreviated CSR) is described as the sense of responsibility that is either felt by a corporation or placed upon that corporation by a subset of the community. The primary idea behind CSR is that corporations profit from the land and the people, thus they should be held responsible to giving something back to the same land and people.
In many definitions, it may also encompass the idea that corporations should reach out to give to charitable causes or groups that do not immediately impact the business or bottom line.
