Publishers
Publishers are those who take the initiative in physically or electronically publishing content (be it a book, magazine, news or other article, portrait, photograph, painting, music or video).
While a publisher may not necessarily be the actual content creator (or creative) responsible for creating the content itself, they are usually the party who takes a vested interest in the content's publication, either through financial investment, free publication, use of services/resources, or some other form of support.
With new media and the surge in user-generated content, publishers, producers and creators are increasingly all the same, single person or group of independent people working together (without the intervention of a small, medium or large commercial or non-profit company).
